Widely used in Indian cuisine, Okra is a highly underutilized fruit, low in calories and is packed with precious nutrients such as calcium, protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, magnesium in addition to vitamins C, K, and A, and can enhance the immune system.

It does not taste great on its own however is delicious when baked, in salads, curries, and other dishes.

Officially it's a fruit, however, because it is not sweet, everyone regards it as a vegetable.
